The average size is 10 students for younger classes. Some older, more advanced classes may have up to 15.

What happens if I miss a class?
If you miss a class due to illness or for any reason, you may make up that class by attending any other scheduled class within the next four weeks. You may take another class of the same level or try a different style.

How do I know if a class in canceled for bad weather, teacher illness, etc.?
If a class is canceled due to bad weather, you can call the studio and an announcement will be on our answering machine or check our home page.

Do I need to let the studio know that I am bringing my child for the first time?
Yes, please call beforehand so we can have the appropriate paper work and welcome packet ready for you. The office staff will introduce your dancer to the instructor and give you a tour of the studio.

Can I bring my child to observe a class?
Of course! If at all possible, please call in advance so that we know to expect you. It is also possible for your child to try taking a single class. Sometimes this is the best way to know if it is a good fit for your child. Single class rate is $18.

Do you have recitals?
Yes, we have our annual Recital Showcase at the Weinberg Center in downtown Frederick every June. Visit www.weinbergcenter.org to view this magnificent 1,300 seat historical theatre.

We also have informal monthly student showcases in our own 100+ seat black box theater. The programs vary but typically all students first grade and up have an opportunity to perform throughout the year.

Why do you have camps, classes and workshops through the summer?
We find that during the summer is the best time for dancers to train due to the fact that they are not as busy with school work and activities. Dancers can always benefit from the discipline of continued training and, of course, summer is a perfect time to improve flexibility since the muscles are warm and pliable.

How do your payments work?
We collect 9 equal payments per year on the 1st of the month starting in September. You have the option to pay with check, cash, credit card or recurring online credit card payments. Please see our “Tuition Rates” page for more details.
