Pre-Teen Dance Classes (Ages 9-12)

PRE TEEN JAZZ (grades 5-7) ($110 / month)

An upbeat hour of jazz fun! Instruction will emphasize proper technique and body alignment, as well as develop all basic jazz dance related skills in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

PRE TEEN TAP (grades 5-7) ($110 / month)

Tap focuses on rhythms and patterns in footwork through proper technique, as well as personal style and producing clear sounds. Classes include a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap.
Thursday 6:30-7:30


HIP HOP ($110 / month)

It’s time to get funky! Come explore the electrifying world of hip hop. This energetic and powerful style of dance has exploded in popularity over the last decade or so. Dancers will learn isolations and different styles of “street dance” to emulate popular music videos and artists. Great for developing coordination & precision.

Our hip hop dance classes are designed to combine a variety of hip hop styles and choreography set to age-appropriate music. Classes are leveled based on bother student ability and age range.

Level 2 (grades 6+) Thursday 6:45-7:45
Students should have a minimum of 2 years experience (low intermediate level). Choreography will be designed to improve proper technique, timing and introduce stunts.
Level 2.5 (grades 7+) Tuesday 6:45-7:45
Students should have a minimum of 3 years experience (intermediate level). Concentration on learning through movement, improvisation, and intermediate stunts.


ACRO/GYM (Gymnastics for Dancers) ($110 / month)

(placement by instructor) Class will improve strength, flexibility and stamina, resulting in a more powerful and enhanced dance performance.

Teen Dance Classes (Ages 13-17)

Teen level 1 classes may be appropriate for some older Pre-Teens (ages 11-12)

Explanation of Teen levels (8th-12th grade):
Level 1  (beginner to adv beginner, as well as students moving up from the Pre Teen level)
Level 2  (intermediate)
Level 3/4  (high intermediate/advanced – requires a strong technical background)


JAZZ

Dancers will enjoy the fast pace and high energy  of this fun jazz class. Class will progress through a warm up, floor crossings and mini combinations to improve musicality, flexibility and style. Enjoy learning combinations to current pop tunes and classic Broadway hits.

TAP

A fun mix of Broadway and Rhythm styles will keep dancers excited and engaged from week to week. Class will progress through a warm up, floor crossings and mini combinations while fine tuning rhythm skills, accents and dance flow.
Tap 1 – Thursday 6:30-7:30 ($110 / month)
Tap 2 – Thursday 5:30-6:30 ($110 / month)
Tap 3/4 – Monday 5:45-6:45 ($110 / month)


BALLET

Ballet is the basic foundation of most styles of dance. Class will stress proper technique, alignment and terminology using a combination of barre, center and across-the-floor work. Dancers will also improve their balance and poise.
Ballet 1 – Tuesday 5:30-6:30 ($110 / month)
Ballet 2 – Wednesday 5:45-6:45 ($110 / month)
Ballet 3/4 – Wednesday 6:45-8:00 ($120 / month)


POINTE

Must be enrolled in a minimum of one other ballet class and recommended by instructor.

Pre-Pointe is recommended for dedicated ballet students who have established consistent training and are working toward pointe shoe approval within the next year or two. Students will be required to purchase Pre-Pointe Training Shoes, which resemble pointe shoes but feature a soft, flexible box and sole. These specialized shoes allow dancers to safely strengthen their feet and ankles without going fully en pointe. Classwork will focus on developing the strength, balance, alignment, and technical foundation necessary for safe and successful pointe training. Director approval is required.
Pre-Pointe – Saturday 11:30-12:15 ($95 / month)

Beginner Pointe – This class introduces the fundamentals of dancing en pointe in a safe and structured environment. Students will focus on proper shoe fit and care, correct alignment, strengthening exercises, and basic pointe vocabulary while building confidence, strength, and control. 
Beginner Pointe – Tuesday 6:30-7:30 ($110 / month)

Intermediate/Advanced Pointe – This class is for experienced pointe dancers who have demonstrated the strength and technique required for more advanced pointe work. Dancers will continue to develop artistry, endurance, and technical proficiency through increasingly challenging barre, center, and across-the-floor exercises.
Intermediate/Advanced Pointe – Wednesday 8:00-9:00 ($110 / month)


CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary and lyrical have taken over the dance world. This wildly popular style of dance takes your traditional ballet to a new level of expression and interpretation. Promotion to level 2 requires solid classical ballet technique.
Contemporary 1 Monday 5:45-6:45 ($110 / month)
Contemporary 2 Wednesday 6:45-7:45 ($110 / month)
Contemporary 3/4 Wednesday 4:30-5:30 ($110 / month)


HIP HOP Level 3 (combined with 2.5)

Must be in grade 9+ with 5+ years experience. Intermediate/Advanced level. This class is designed for the high-energy, intense, and accomplished dancer well versed in movement vocabulary and has the ability to learn complicated dance combinations readily.
Tuesday 6:45-7:45 ($110 / month)


DANCE CONDITIONING

Dance Conditioning is designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and overall body awareness. Classwork incorporates ballet- and jazz-inspired barre exercises, center floor work, resistance training, yoga, and other cross-training methods. Emphasis is placed on building muscular strength, increasing flexibility, improving stability, and developing injury-prevention habits that support successful dance training. This class is an excellent addition for motivated dancers looking to enhance their technique, athleticism, and overall performance quality in a safe and supportive environment. Director approval is required.
Dance Conditioning 2 (grades 7-12): Monday 4:30-5:30 ($110 / month)

DANCE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE

Do you love musicals? Then this is class for you! Perfect for performers trying to boost their dance ability for school or community theatre shows & auditions OR who want extra dance training and just happen to love show tunes. Class will include jazz & tap and is designated to help performers gain skills and gain confidence in musical theatre dance. Several combinations will be taught throughout the year, focusing on character and interpretation of some of your favorite musicals from the stage and screen.
TEEN (grades 9-12) – Monday 8:00-9:00 ($110 / month)
