This fun and energetic class builds on the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz in one well-rounded program. Dancers will develop coordination, musicality, flexibility, and confidence while learning age-appropriate technique in a positive and supportive environment. Perfect for elementary-aged students who want to explore multiple dance styles and develop a strong foundation for future training.
Elementary 1 (gr 2-5)
Monday 4:30-5:30 ; Tuesday 6:30-7:30 ; Thursday 4:45-5:45

Elementary 2 (gr 3-5, builds on skills from Elementary 1)

HIP HOP ($110 / month)

It’s time to get funky! Come explore the electrifying world of hip hop. This energetic and powerful style of dance has exploded in popularity over the last decade or so. Dancers will learn isolations and different styles of “street dance” to emulate popular music videos and artists. Great for developing coordination & precision.

dance-lessons-for-teen-kidsOur hip hop dance classes are designed to combine a variety of hip hop styles and choreography set to age-appropriate music. Classes are leveled based on bother student ability and age range.

Level 1 (grades 1-4) Friday 4:45-5:45
Beginner level. Student will learn hip hop fundamentals with an emphasis on rhythm, proper form and solid skill basics.
Level 1.5 (grades 3-6) Thursday 5:30-6:30
Advanced Beginner. Student should have 1-3 years of experience. Class content will build on prior level with concentration on memorization, flexibility and strength.


DANCE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE ($110 / month)

Do you love musicals? Then this is class for you! Perfect for performers trying to boost their dance ability for school or community theatre shows & auditions OR who want extra dance training and just happen to love show tunes. Class will include jazz & tap and is designated to help performers gain skills and gain confidence in musical theatre dance. Several combinations will be taught throughout the year, focusing on character and interpretation of some of your favorite musicals from the stage and screen.

Junior (grades 4-8) – Thursday 5:45-6:45


LYRICAL FOUNDATIONS ($110 / month)

Lyrical Foundations introduces dancers to the techniques and artistry of lyrical dance by blending elements of ballet and jazz with emotional expression and musical interpretation. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, balance, and fluid movement quality while learning foundational lyrical vocabulary, transitions, turns, leaps, and storytelling through movement. Minimum age: second grade

Wednesday 4:45-5:45


KIDS ON THE MOVE LYRICAL 2 (accelerated) ($110 / month)

Dancers will continue refining lyrical technique through more challenging turns, leaps, and movement sequences while exploring musicality, performance quality, and storytelling. Emphasis is placed on connecting movement to emotion, creating meaningful performances, and developing confidence as an artist. Must take in conjunction with a ballet class. Director approval required.

Tuesday 5:30-6:30


KIDS ON THE MOVE JAZZ (accelerated) ($110 / month)

With director approval – A jazz class for the motivated young dancer training at the accelerated level – Must take in conjunction with Kids on the Move Tap, and a ballet class.

Wednesday 5:45-6:45


KIDS ON THE MOVE TAP (accelerated) ($110 / month)

With director approval – A tap class for the motivated young dancer training at the accelerated level – Must take in conjunction with Kids on the Move Jazz, and a ballet class.

Thursday 4:30-5:30


JR BALLET (accelerated) ($110 / month)

(2nd-5th grade) This class is part of the Accelerated Program for the focused dancer with prior experience. Class is best suited for the serious student taking more than one class a week. Content includes: ballet vocabulary spelling and workbook. Instruction will assist young dancers in developing correct body placement, posture, and basic foundational technique. Dancers will learn how to work at the ballet barre, center floor exercises, and ballet combinations. Director approval required for acceptance.

Jr Ballet 1A Monday 5:30-6:30
Jr Ballet 2A Saturday 10:30-11:30


DANCE CONDITIONING (accelerated) ($110 / month)

Dance Conditioning is designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and overall body awareness. Classwork incorporates ballet- and jazz-inspired barre exercises, center floor work, resistance training, yoga, and other cross-training methods. Emphasis is placed on building muscular strength, increasing flexibility, improving stability, and developing injury-prevention habits that support successful dance training. This class is an excellent addition for motivated dancers looking to enhance their technique, athleticism, and overall performance quality in a safe and supportive environment. Director approval is required.

Dance Conditioning 1 (gr 3-6) Friday 4:30-5:30


ACRO/GYM (Gymnastics for Dancers) ($110 / month)

(placement by instructor) Class will improve strength, flexibility and stamina, resulting in a more powerful and enhanced dance performance.
