Several members of the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company stayed busy this past summer by attending different Workshops and Competitions. Check out what they've been up to:
Alberta Shulman - attended the Point Park (PA) Summer Intensive
Jewel Macauley - attended the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive in NY
Carolyn Dingee - attended the E. Laura Hausman Ballet Intensive
Kerrynton Jones - competed for National Outstanding Mini Dancer
(ages 8 – 10) at NYCDA in New York and ranked 5th overall out of 88 dancers.

She also performed her 2 solos at Star Power's National Competition and received 1st place for “Satin’s Little Lamb” (Teen Jazz Solo, ages 12 – 14) and 1st place for “Amazing Grace” (Teen Lyrical Solo, ages 12 – 14) and received 8th overall, out of over 200 teen solos, for “Amazing Grace”
Rosalia Tilmont - participated in Power Pak in Ocean City and received a scholarship from the teachers for a 2011 StarPower Regional

DANCE UNLIMITED’S REPERTORY COMPANY STUDENTS RECEIVE TOP SCORES AND
OVER $5,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE MARYLAND COUNCIL FOR DANCE
At the 38th Annual State Dance Festival in Chestertown, MD on October 24th members of the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company, directed by Donna Grim, received scholarships to continue their study at regional and local dance centers in 2011. Scholarships are granted based on an audition process; scholarship recipients, the scholarship, and the organization providing the scholarship are:

Kaitlyn McGuire received a floor scholarship from the teaching staff at MD Council for the 2011 Annual State Dance Festival. Kerrynton Jones’ and Amy Dixon’s auditions received 1st and 2nd overall top scores, respectively, in the 9 – 12 age group, earning them cash prizes.
Isabella Tlmont’s and Jewel Macauley’s auditions received 1st and 2nd overall top scores, respectively, in the 13 – 15 age group, also earning them cash prizes.
